Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Ashish believes in active learning that blends theoretical foundations with real-world application. His teaching is shaped by a commitment to experiential learning, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and behavioral insight among students.

Courses Taught

Dr. Ashish teaches core and elective courses including Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Strategic HRM, Leadership and Team Effectiveness, and Management of Change. At IIT Roorkee, he assisted MBA and B.Tech courses in Operations, Team Management, and Principles of Management. He has also contributed to designing and running NPTEL-MOOC courses on work organization and talent acquisition.

Awards and Grants

Recipient of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from UGC for doctoral research. Recognized as the topper in the NPTEL HR Analytics course. Awarded a Central Sector Scholarship by the Government of India for academic excellence in senior secondary education.

Scholarly Activities

Dr. Ashish has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed papers in journals such as The American Journal of Psychology, Acta Universitatis Bohemiae Meridionales, and International Journal of Business Excellence. His recent work explores idea generation and realization under job challenge and resource conditions, employing COR theory and structural equation modeling. He has also participated in international conferences in France, Thailand, and across India. His contributions include teaching assistantships for NPTEL-MOOCs and leadership simulation-based training. Dr. Ashish has been involved in MDPs and FDPs, including industrial relations programs in collaboration with Flipkart and IIT Roorkee. His academic service also includes organizing faculty training programs and mentoring students in research.
