Dr. Mohd Sarim

Dr. Mohd Sarim is an academician and researcher in finance with a Ph.D. in Finance from Aligarh Muslim University, specializing in corporate governance and financial performance. He has also completed an Executive Program in FinTech, Banking, and Applied Risk Management from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, securing second position. 

With over seven years of teaching experience across reputed institutions, he has taught finance courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His expertise is supported by certifications in data analytics, financial modelling, and fintech tools. Dr. Sarim has published in Scopus, Web of Science, and ABDC-indexed journals, and has contributed as reviewer, editor, and conference participant. 

His interests lie at the intersection of finance, corporate governance, sustainability, and fintech. He also actively contributes to academic administration, student mentoring, and institutional initiatives.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Sarim served as Assistant Professor at Jamia Hamdard, GITAM University, Presidency University, GLA University, and AMU Centre Malappuram. He also has entrepreneurial experience as Promoter-Director of Cutoz Gifts and Garments Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Sarim has authored and co-authored 15+ research papers in Web of Science, Scopus, and ABDC-indexed journals including British Food Journal, Management of Environmental Quality, and Journal of Public Affairs. His research covers corporate governance, capital structure, startup valuation, and supply chain enablers. 

He has contributed book chapters, presented at international conferences, and reviewed for journals and academic forums. He has also delivered invited sessions on systematic literature reviews and fintech. His academic engagement includes FDPs at leading institutions such as Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, along with mentoring student research and business competitions.
