She also cleared the Professional Competency Course of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, securing All India Rank 50. With a decade of professional experience as a tax practitioner, she has handled direct and indirect taxation matters, banking audits, and financial compliance. 

Her research has been published in SSCI, ABDC, and Scopus-indexed journals, and presented at reputed academic forums including the European Economics and Finance Society, University of London, India Finance Conference, and conferences hosted by IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad. She brings a strong blend of academic rigor and industry expertise to business education.

Work Experience

Before joining UPES, Dr. Bhalla served as Assistant Professor in Finance at Chandigarh University. Prior to academia, she spent ten years in industry handling direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and banking audits.
