He holds a PhD from Dayalbagh Educational Institute (in collaboration with IIT Delhi), with research focused on distribution channel dynamics. 

His expertise spans financial derivatives, financial management, accounting, and portfolio management, alongside research interests in sustainability, ESG, and financial innovation. He has supervised doctoral scholars and published in reputed journals. 

Dr. Sant combines academic rigour with industry experience from organisations such as American Express, HDFC Ltd., and Alcatel-Lucent, bringing a strong practice-oriented perspective to teaching.

Work Experience

Dr. Sant brings over 15 years of combined academic and industry experience. Prior to UPES, he served as Assistant Professor at GLA University. 

His industry roles include positions at American Express (external reporting and treasury), HDFC Ltd. (lending and credit), and Alcatel-Lucent, Singapore (financial analytics).

Research Interests

Distribution channel dynamics; sustainability and ESG; financial reporting; treasury and risk management; financial derivatives.

Dr. Sant has published in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals on themes including ESG disclosures, carbon performance, sustainability, and blockchain in trade finance. 

He has presented at international conferences hosted by institutions such as IIT Kanpur and IIM Kozhikode, as well as global forums. His work also includes consultancy assignments in financial planning and business strategy for SMEs and healthcare organisations.
