Abhishek Roshan

Abhishek Roshan is a dedicated researcher and educator in Computer Science and Engineering with a Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Nagaland, specializing in Intelligent Demand Side Management in Smart Grid systems. With over five years of combined research and teaching experience, he brings a strong data-driven and interdisciplinary approach to solving real-world energy and computing challenges. His work integrates machine learning, deep learning, and optimization techniques to improve efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in modern power systems. He is committed to advancing research in intelligent energy management while equipping students with practical and analytical skills relevant to emerging technological domains.

Before joining UPES, Abhishek completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Nagaland, focusing on intelligent demand-side management frameworks for secure and efficient energy consumption. During his academic journey, he was actively involved in research, teaching assistance, and mentoring students, contributing to both academic development and applied research initiatives.

By emphasising conceptual clarity alongside real-world applications, he ensures that students not only understand theoretical concepts but also develop the ability to apply them effectively in practical scenarios.

Dr. Abhishek Roshan secured Rank 253 in the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (2012). He qualified the GATE examination in Electrical Engineering in 2017 and 2020. He received the HTRA (Half Time Research Assistantship) fellowship during his M.Tech at NIT Uttarakhand (2017–2019) and continued to receive HTRA support during his Ph.D. at NIT Nagaland (2019–2024). He has also received institutional recognition for his contributions to research and academic development.

He contributes to academic research through publications, collaborative projects, and mentoring students in emerging areas of smart energy systems. His scholarly engagement reflects a commitment to integrating computational intelligence with sustainable energy solutions, while also strengthening academic–industry relevance in teaching and research.
