Profile Summary

Amar Jindal submitted his Ph.D. thesis to National Institute of Technology Patna (NITP) in May 2023. The title of his Ph.D. thesis is ‘Offline Handwritten Text Recognition in Ancient Documents in Indian Scripts’. He has completed (2018-2020) his M.Tech-IT from NITP and B.Tech-IT (2011-2015) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Work Experience

Amar Jindal has industrial work experience as a Senior Analyst at Capgemini Pune from March 2016 – November 2017. Besides creating documents, test cases, test scripts, test suits, and plans, he was in charge of lab infrastructure for deployment and troubleshooting.

Teaching Philosophy

Amar Jindal uses real-world industrial scenarios in the classroom to explain the utility of the concepts in the subject and build the application. He creates quizzes and assignments in the format of research or industry problems.

Courses Taught

Amar Jindal teaches Software Engineering, Programming with C, and Machine Learning.

Awards and Grants

Amar Jindal cleared Graduation Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in 2018.

Scholarly Activities

Amar Jindal has published research articles in reputed journals. He has been associated with IEEE membership. Amar Jindal has delivered 9 hours of lecture on ‘Introduction to Machine Learning’ during the workshop on ‘Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare’ at Sikkim Manipal University. He has also delivered 27 hours of expert lectures as a chief resource person on various topics during the ‘AI & Healthcare Workshop’ at KIIT School of Public Health.
