Dr. Chandrasen Pandey is a researcher and academician specializing in Artificial Intelligence, 5G/6G Networks, Mobile Edge Computing, and Generative AI. With a strong engineering background and doctoral research from NIT Meghalaya, he has contributed extensively to intelligent communication systems, privacy-preserving federated learning, and AI-enabled edge computing. His work, supported by MeitY-funded research, demonstrates expertise in building scalable AI models for IoT analytics, synthetic data generation, and traffic forecasting across next-generation networks. 

Work Experience

Dr. Pandey has served as Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at NIT Meghalaya under a prestigious MeitY-funded project on AI-driven IoT analytics over 5G Mobile Edge Computing. He has prior experience as a System Officer and Trainer at UPTEC Pvt. Ltd. and currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science, UPES. His experience spans AI model development, network optimization, IoT data analytics, and applied research in next-generation communication systems.

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Pandey believes in creating a practice-oriented, concept-driven learning environment where students connect theoretical foundations of AI and computing with real-world systems. His classroom emphasizes hands-on implementation, research-based thinking, and problem-solving using modern tools such as Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. He encourages students to build, test, and critically evaluate AI models, fostering engineering intuition and innovation.

Scholarly Activities

Dr. Pandey has an extensive publication record with contributions to IEEE Transactions, IEEE IoT Journal, IEEE Access, Future Generation Computer Systems, Cluster Computing, Digital Communications and Networks, and other reputed journals. His research spans synthetic data generation, traffic forecasting, neural models, GAN-based data augmentation, and AI-enabled optimization for edge computing. He has co-developed multiple advanced frameworks such as 5GT-GAN, MF-CGAN, and 5GT-GAN-NET, demonstrating expertise in generative models and network intelligence. His collaborative research includes associations with globally recognized researchers and institutions across Portugal, Germany, and Taiwan. Dr. Pandey has participated in international conferences such as IEEE VTC, ANTS, AISC, ICEPE, ICICCSP, and IC3SE. He also actively engages in academic training programs, ATAL FDPs, and high-performance computing workshops conducted by NIT Meghalaya and IIT Kharagpur.
