Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat

Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat is a distinguished scholar with a Ph.D. in Machine Learning / Deep Learning from the National Institute of Technology Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, specializing in Data-Centric AI and Generative Adversarial Networks. He has successfully cleared several competitive exams, including the GATE and UGC-NET. These exams are highly regarded in their respective fields and demonstrate his strong academic capabilities. His research focuses on synthetic data sense making for enhancing the generalisation performance of machine learning downstream tasks. With applications across healthcare systems, cybersecurity, drug discovery, autonomous vehicles, manufacturing, and decision support systems. Dr. Bhat is dedicated to creating innovative solutions in the field of Generative AI. His work is particularly aimed at enhancing the efficiency and efficacy of AI based systems in the context of data-constrained scenarios.

Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat has recently joined the faculty at UPES. Prior to this, Dr. Bhat has around three years of experience as a contractual Assistant Professor, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses at various universities and institutes in Jammu and Kashmir, India.

Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat’s research focuses on bridging the gap between real and synthetic data, unlocking the potential for advanced machine learning insights, particularly in data-sensitive and regulated domains. The integration of artificial intelligence and deep learning with interdisciplinary applications holds immense potential, and Dr. Bhat is committed to leveraging these technologies to advance the field further.

Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Bhat believes that effective teaching is not just about imparting knowledge but inspiring students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and apply their learning to real-world challenges. He integrates practical applications and interdisciplinary projects into his teaching to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
