Dr. Pravin Kumar

Dr. Pravin Kumar is a researcher and academic working at the intersection of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He began his career as a Software Developer at Bonaven Software Limited before transitioning into research and academia. His multidisciplinary interests focus on applying advanced computational intelligence techniques to biological and biomedical data, aiming to uncover meaningful patterns that support scientific and healthcare applications. 

He has published research in reputed journals including Data in Brief, Journal of Molecular Graphics, and Computational Chemistry. His current work includes integrating IoT with machine learning for applications such as human activity recognition, along with active research on LoRa-based communication protocols and intelligent IoT systems. 

Dr. Kumar is passionate about combining theoretical foundations with application-oriented learning and research. His work reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary innovation, connecting computing technologies with life sciences and real-world problem solving. 

Before transitioning into academia, Dr. Pravin Kumar worked as a Software Developer at Bonaven Software Limited. After completing his Ph.D., he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Jawaharlal Nehru University, contributing to interdisciplinary machine learning research. He later worked as an Assistant Professor at Akal University, Bathinda, for five years, followed by one year at Haridwar University, Roorkee. His experience spans teaching, research, software development, and interdisciplinary AI applications.

Dr. Pravin Kumar is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research spanning Machine Learning, Deep Learning, IoT, and Biological Data Science. His work focuses on developing intelligent systems that integrate computational intelligence with real-world applications, particularly in biomedical data analysis and IoT-enabled human activity recognition. 

He has published research articles in reputed SCI and Scopus-indexed journals, including Data in Brief, Journal of Molecular Graphics, and Computational Chemistry. His scholarly work also explores emerging areas such as LoRa-based IoT communication, natural language processing, and AI-driven applications for scientific and societal challenges. 

In addition to research, he actively contributes to academic peer-review activities and collaborative projects supporting innovation in AI and intelligent systems. He continues to explore evolving technologies with the goal of advancing impactful interdisciplinary research and inspiring students to pursue inquiry-driven and hands-on scholarship.
