Thota Siva Sankar

Dr. Siva Sankar is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the School of Computer Science at UPES, Dehradun, specializing in Geospatial Intelligence. He holds a Ph.D. in Geomatics from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad and has over a decade of experience across academia, ISRO-based research, and applied geospatial analytics.

His research focuses on geospatial intelligence for natural resource management and disaster management applications. Dr. Siva Sankar has published widely in reputed journals, serves as a reviewer and editorial board member, and regularly delivers invited talks and professional training programs.

Dr. Kumar is currently an Associate Professor at UPES (since July 2025). Prior to this, he served as Assistant Professor at Galgotias University (2017–2025), Echelon Institute of Technology (2011–2017), and N.C. College of Engineering (2006–2011).

He also has industry experience as a Software Developer at CSE India Pvt. Ltd. His career reflects a blend of academic excellence, research leadership, and technical expertise.
