Dr. Supreet Singh is an accomplished academic and researcher in computer science, specializing in optimization algorithms, soft computing, and wireless sensor networks. He received his B.Tech degree from DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar, India, in 2013 and completed his M.Tech from Punjabi University, Patiala, India, in 2016. He completed his PhD from Thapar University, Patiala in 2024. With a robust theoretical and applied computing background, Dr. Singh has made significant contributions to the academic community through his research and publications.  He has authored/co-authored more than 30 publications, including 14 SCI-indexed research articles with a cumulative impact factor of 70+, conferences, and book chapters. He has worked with renowned organizations like IIIT Delhi, Thapar University, SGT University, and Chandigarh University. His commitment to excellence in teaching and research is evident in his dedication to fostering a dynamic learning environment and his engagement in cutting-edge research projects. Dr. Singh is passionate about mentoring and guiding students toward achieving their academic and professional goals.

Work Experience

Dr. Supreet Singh has over 8 years of experience in academia, with a focus on teaching and research in computer science. He has served as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering at SGT University, where he taught a variety of graduate and postgraduate courses and supervised numerous projects by students. He has also served as a Research Associate at IIIT Delhi, working on government-aided projects. He has served as an assistant professor at Chandigarh University, where he was the academic coordinator and was also in charge of admissions.

Research Interests

Dr. Singh's research interests lie primarily in soft computing, machine learning, image processing, and artificial intelligence. He is particularly interested in exploring innovative optimization algorithms and their applications in solving real-world problems. His work aims to advance the understanding and capabilities of algorithms, focusing on improving performance and computational efficiency.
