Dr. Uday Kumar Murali

Dr. Uday Kumar Murali is an academician and industry professional passionate about teaching Mathematics and Computer Science to enthusiastic learners. He brings nearly 18 years of industry experience as a scientist, researcher, statistical analyst, and business analyst. His long-standing interest in teaching and desire to return to the classroom led him to UPES.

He possesses strong expertise in mathematics, computing, analytics, and optimization, and is committed to transforming how mathematics and computational subjects are learned in the modern era. His academic contributions include authored journal papers and conference presentations, reflecting his engagement with both research and applied problem-solving.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Uday Kumar Murali worked as a Scientist at Tata Consultancy Services for more than a decade, contributing to projects in Quantitative Finance and Operations Research. He also served as a Statistical Analyst at Intergraph Consulting and as a Business Analyst at ValueMomentum.

He completed his Master of Mathematics from Indian Institute of Technology Madras and earned his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

His scholarly interests bridge mathematics, computing, analytics, and optimization, reflecting a strong orientation toward practical problem-solving and interdisciplinary applications.
