Work Experience

Himadri Sekhar Roy has recently joined the faculty at UPES. Previously, he served as a Senior Full Stack Developer at Baseel Limited, Gibraltar, UK. Before that, he worked as a Research Fellow on the Development of High-Speed MANET for Intelligent Collaboration project, funded by the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India. This role provided him with hands-on experience in high-speed computing and networking technologies. Additionally, his involvement in a UGC-sponsored project on Big Data Management in the Cloud has further strengthened his expertise in designing and optimizing distributed systems.

Research Interests

Himadri Sekhar Roy's research primarily focuses on the storage and retrieval of Big Data in healthcare; however, it is not limited to this domain. His work revolves around scalable Big Data storage and distributed computing. He is particularly focused on developing high-performance storage and retrieval systems that enhance efficiency and reliability in large-scale data environments, especially for healthcare applications. His research also explores cloud-based infrastructures and mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) to improve high-speed data transmission for IoT and video streaming applications. Additionally, he is interested in intelligent networking solutions that leverage high-speed computing and distributed architectures to enhance data processing and accessibility in dynamic environments. Through his research, Mr. Roy aims to advance secure, adaptive, and efficient storage solutions that address the growing challenges of data-intensive applications in modern computing.

  • Developed and managed the official website for the ICDCN 2020 conference, integrating an automated registration system with a secure payment gateway.
