Keshav Kaushik is an experienced educator with over eight years of teaching and research experience in Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and the Internet of Things. He is working as an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the systemic cluster under the School of Computer Science at UPES, Dehradun. He has published 90+ research papers in International Journals and has presented at reputed International Conferences. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) v11, CQI and IRCA Certified ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor, Quick Heal Academy Certified Cyber Security Professional (QCSP), and IBM Cybersecurity Analyst. He acted as a keynote speaker and delivered 50+ professional talks on various national and international platforms. He has edited over ten books with reputed international publishers like Springer, Taylor and Francis, IGI Global, Bentham Science, etc. He has chaired various special sessions at international conferences and served as a reviewer in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
Before joining UPES, Keshav was at the Ansal University, Gurugram, held an assistant professor position at the School of Computer Science, and acted as a faculty intern at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Ropar). He also worked for Lingayas University Faridabad and MVN University Palwal in previous engagements.

As a professor of cybersecurity, Keshav’s teaching ethos aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge, practical experience, and job-relevant skills. He places a high priority on ethical issues, encouraging students' curiosity, critical thinking, and love for cybersecurity so they may become knowledgeable, moral, and flexible workers in this always-changing industry.
Keshav teaches Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics, IT System Security and Physical Security, IT Application Security.
Awards and Grants
Keshav received several awards and appreciation from Uttarakhand Police for delivering invited talks on ‘Cyber Crime Investigation: Current scenario and recent trends’ at Digital Investigation, Training and Analysis Centre (DITAC), Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Keshav received Certificate of Appreciation from the University of Malakand, Pakistan for delivering an invited session on the topic – ‘Hacking Ethically: How to become an Ethical Hacker’ in the International Workshop on Software Engineering (WSE-2021).
Keshav is an associate Editor in the International Journal of Information Security and Privacy (IJISP) (ISSN: 1930-1650) (ESCI, Scopus-indexed journal). Keshav is appointed as a Bentham Ambassador by Bentham Science Publishers. Keshav has an impressive track record of publications, with 22 SCI/SCIE/Scopus journal publications and 18 Scopus-indexed conference publications. Additionally, he has been granted one patent and has published six patents. Furthermore, he has five granted copyrights to his name. He has edited and authored fifteen books and has contributed to 22 book chapters. In addition to the publications, Keshav holds several certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) v11, CQI and IRCA Certified ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Lead Auditor, Quick Heal Academy Certified Cyber Security Professional (QCSP), and IBM Cybersecurity Analyst. These certifications, along with extensive research experience, have helped him to impart practical knowledge to the students.
