Mohsin Furkh Dar

Mr. Mohsin Furkh Dar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science at UPES Dehradun.

His academic and research work focuses on deep learning, medical image analysis, and the design of efficient and generalizable neural architectures.

His doctoral contributions include EfficientU-Net, UMA-Net, fuzzy–rough set based loss functions, and SGAN frameworks for medical image segmentation and classification, with publications in SCIE-indexed journals and international conferences.

Mr. Mohsin Furkh Dar is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at UPES.

Prior to this, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Government Degree College, Uri, and as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Hyderabad, mentoring postgraduate students in databases, algorithms, and AI-related projects.

He has also contributed as a System Administrator in the AI Lab and developed machine learning-enabled full-stack web applications.

His approach emphasizes conceptual clarity, real-world applications, reproducible experimentation, and the development of analytical and research skills.

Mr. Mohsin Furkh Dar has contributed to peer-reviewed research in deep learning, medical image analysis, and fuzzy–rough set based learning methods.

His work includes SCIE and Scopus-indexed publications on neural network architectures, ensemble-based classification, and evolutionary feature selection.

He has presented at international conferences such as ICCCNet and participated in specialized workshops on MRI, EEG, and NLP.

He actively mentors student research projects in deep learning, computer vision, and applied machine learning.
