Namita Bajpai

Namita Bajpai is an academic and researcher working in the domain of Artificial Intelligence. She completed her Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and her M.Tech from IIT ISM Dhanbad.

Her work particularly focuses on addressing hidden stratification, subclass discovery in real-world datasets, and designing robust classifiers.

She has published multiple SCIE-indexed journal papers and peer-reviewed international conference papers. Her academic interests lie in building intelligent systems capable of handling challenging real-world data scenarios such as imbalance, noise, and high dimensionality.

Before joining UPES as an Assistant Professor – Senior Scale, Namita Bajpai served as an Assistant Professor at C. V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar, in the Computer Science Department during 2017–18.

She has also worked on the “Integrated Information System and Knowledge Discovery Platform for ONGC” as a Research Assistant at IIT Kharagpur.

Namita believes in the principle expressed by Confucius: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” Her teaching emphasizes hands-on learning, demonstrations, and practical problem-solving to cultivate deep and lasting understanding in students.

She encourages curiosity, experimentation, and analytical thinking in the classroom.
