Payal Sharma

Dr. Payal Sharma is an academician and researcher in the field of Information Security and Cryptography. She has experience across multiple domains in Computer Science and is passionate about advancing secure communication technologies.

Her research focuses on public-key cryptography, network security, and privacy-preserving protocols, with publications in reputed SCIE-indexed journals such as Computer Networks, Journal of Information Security and Applications, Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience, and Wireless Personal Communications.

She enjoys teaching core Computer Science subjects and believes in integrating conceptual understanding with practical exposure to help students grasp both theoretical foundations and real-world applications.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Payal Sharma gained academic experience at Manipal University Jaipur, where she taught core Computer Science subjects and contributed to departmental activities.

She also has prior teaching experience before her Ph.D., strengthening her expertise in classroom instruction, student engagement, and academic mentoring.

Dr. Payal Sharma is actively engaged in research in Information Security and Cryptography, focusing on the design and analysis of secure communication protocols, public-key cryptography, and privacy-preserving technologies.

Her work addresses security challenges in emerging domains such as IoT, cloud computing, and distributed systems, with multiple publications in SCIE and Scopus-indexed journals.

She also contributes to the academic community by reviewing research papers for reputed journals and conferences in cryptography and network security.
