Dr. Pitambar Khanra is a data and network scientist with over nine years of research experience in applying mathematical methods to complex systems. His work lies at the intersection of Network Science, Machine Learning, and Computational Neuroimaging.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur and has international research experience, including postdoctoral work at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA.
His research focuses on developing advanced analytical methods such as energy landscape analysis for high-dimensional fMRI data and data integration techniques for single-cell sequencing, contributing to impactful interdisciplinary innovations.
Work Experience
Before joining UPES, Dr. Pitambar Khanra served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the State University of New York at Buffalo, USA, working on computational neuroimaging and single-cell RNA sequencing data analytics.
He has also held Visiting Scientist positions at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany, under a DST-DAAD project, and IIT Ropar, India. His research career began at NIT Durgapur during his doctoral work in nonlinear dynamics.
