Dr. Rahul Pandey

Dr. Rahul Pandey is a researcher and academician specializing in plasmonic sensing, photonic structures, nanoelectronics, and machine-learning-assisted biosensing. He earned his Ph.D. from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, focusing on MIM waveguide-based plasmonic sensors for high-performance biosensing and material detection.

His current work integrates computational modeling and machine learning with photonic and plasmonic devices to enhance sensing accuracy and performance. He actively contributes to research-driven learning, project supervision, and academic development initiatives.

Dr. Rahul Pandey has over eleven years of academic experience. Prior to joining UPES, he served as Assistant Professor II at Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan (2016–2025) and as Assistant Professor at Poornima Institute of Engineering and Technology (2014–2016).

His experience includes teaching, research supervision, laboratory management, accreditation support (NBA/NAAC), and organizing conferences, FDPs, and workshops.

Awarded Best Paper at IEEE DICCT 2025 and completed the Wipro Mission 10X Faculty Training Program. Served as coordinator for TEQIP-III workshops, ATAL FDPs, and national conferences.

Dr. Rahul Pandey has published more than eight SCIE-indexed journal papers and over eight Scopus-indexed conference papers in reputed venues including Optics & Laser Technology, Journal of Optics, Plasmonics, and IEEE/SPIE conferences.

His research spans plasmonic sensors, resonator-based optical structures, nanoelectronic device modeling, and machine-learning-enhanced sensing. He has presented his work at global forums such as SPIE Photonics Asia and multiple IEEE conferences.

He also contributes as a reviewer for journals and actively mentors postgraduate and undergraduate students in projects related to sensors, device modeling, and computational photonics.
