Dr. Raj Kumar is an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the School of Computer Science at UPES Dehradun, with over ten years of academic and research experience. He joined UPES in April 2025 after serving at institutions including Adani University, Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science, and Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology.
He holds a B.Tech from UPTU Lucknow and completed his M.Tech and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad. His academic work focuses on digital systems, VLSI design, and advanced computational methods.
Work Experience
Dr. Raj Kumar has over ten years of academic and research experience. Prior to joining UPES, he served as Assistant Professor at Adani University, Ahmedabad (2023–2025), Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science (2022–2023), and Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (2021–2022).
He also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad from 2015 to 2021, contributing to teaching, research, and laboratory instruction.

Dr. Raj Kumar has published multiple research papers in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, including the Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers and The Scientific World Journal.
His research focuses on VLSI design, digital circuit systems, and residue number systems. He has also served as a reviewer for reputed journals and international conferences.
He has participated in over twenty-five faculty development programs, workshops, and seminars, and has delivered expert lectures such as “Overview of Residue Number System” in national-level FDPs.
