Profile Summary
Dr. Rashmi Keshri is an academician and researcher specializing in Cloud Computing, Edge–Fog–Cloud ecosystems, and intelligent resource optimization. She completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (2020–2025), focusing on machine learning-based job classification, metaheuristic optimization, and energy-efficient placement models for distributed systems.
She holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Banaras Hindu University, where she graduated as a Gold Medalist, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science from Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at UPES, she teaches Cloud Computing Deployment & Architecture and Operating Systems. Her work integrates research-driven insights with teaching to prepare students for emerging distributed computing environments.
Work Experience
Dr. Rashmi Keshri is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at UPES, Dehradun (2025–present), where she teaches Cloud Computing Deployment & Architecture and Operating Systems.
Prior to this, she worked as a research scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru University, focusing on cloud–fog–edge resource management, intelligent scheduling, and optimization models. Her experience includes developing machine learning and metaheuristic-based solutions for distributed computing systems.

Scholarly Activities
Dr. Rashmi Keshri has contributed extensively to research in cloud and fog computing through publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals. Her work includes machine learning-based IoT task classification, hybrid metaheuristic approaches for VM placement, and energy-efficient resource allocation.
Her research explores hybrid optimization techniques such as JAYA–GWO and ACO–GWO models, along with communication-aware placement strategies. She has presented her work at international conferences in artificial intelligence, data science, and computational intelligence.
She is actively involved in developing innovative solutions for smart healthcare, task offloading, and intelligent fog device deployment, continuing to explore advanced ML and metaheuristic frameworks for distributed systems.
