Dr. Sachin Chaudhary is a deep-tech researcher and academic specializing in computer vision, multimodal AI, and digital forensics. He earned his Ph.D. from IIT Ropar and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Cyber Security Research Centre (CYSREN), NTU Singapore, focusing on AI security and advanced visual intelligence. His interdisciplinary expertise spans synthetic media forensics, identity verification, action recognition, multimodal fusion, and trustworthy AI for high-risk real-world systems. 

He has served at reputed institutions including PEC Chandigarh, BML Munjal University, and Amity University, and currently works as an Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science at UPES Dehradun. Dr. Sachin is also the Co-Founder of Reagvis Labs Pvt. Ltd., a deep-tech startup developing deepfake detection, secure digital-trust infrastructure, and mission-critical visual intelligence solutions for governance, finance, and industry. 

Alongside research and entrepreneurship, he actively contributes to digital literacy and mentoring initiatives for underprivileged students in rural and hilly regions of Uttarakhand. His work focuses on building explainable, robust, and scalable AI systems that strengthen digital trust and security. 

Work Experience

Dr. Sachin has served as a faculty member at PEC Chandigarh, BML Munjal University, and Amity University, contributing to teaching and research in AI and computer vision. He also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at NTU Singapore in the Cyber Security Research Centre. At UPES, he leads research initiatives in multimodal AI, digital forensics, and visual intelligence. As Co-Founder of Reagvis Labs, he drives deep-tech innovation in secure and trustworthy AI systems for government and enterprise applications.

Awards and Achievements

Dr. Sachin has been selected for prestigious deep-tech programs including The Pitch, STPI IMAGE CoE, and IIT Mandi iHub, receiving structured mentorship and proof-of-concept support. His startup, Reagvis Labs, was recognized among the Top 5 Emerging Startups at the Uttarakhand AI Mission – Udbhav 2025 and received a motivational cash prize from the Hon’ble Governor of Uttarakhand. He has also mentored student teams securing a Top-5 global ranking in the ICCV DeepID Challenge 2025 and continues to lead funded projects in digital forensics and trustworthy AI.

Dr. Sachin Chaudhary’s scholarly work spans computer vision, multimodal deepfake detection, digital forensics, and trustworthy AI, with a focus on building secure and explainable models for mission-critical applications. He has contributed to research in synthetic media forensics, action recognition, weather-induced video distortions, stereo depth estimation, and multimodal fusion through publications, challenge papers, and collaborative technical reports. 

He has actively participated in deep-tech innovation programs including The Pitch, STPI IMAGE CoE, and IIT Mandi iHub, where he led R&D efforts translating academic research into deployable AI systems. As Co-Founder of Reagvis Labs, he drives industry-oriented research in secure identity verification, visual authenticity assessment, and real-time forensic intelligence pipelines. 

Dr. Sachin regularly mentors B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. scholars in areas such as deepfake detection, multimodal analytics, medical imaging, and AI security. His student teams have achieved global recognition, including a Top-5 ranking in the ICCV DeepID Challenge 2025. He also collaborates with government agencies, startups, and academic partners on funded projects under national missions, contributing to India’s ecosystem of applied and trustworthy AI research.
