Mr. Shashwat Shukla is an accomplished academician and researcher with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Information Technology Lucknow, an M.Tech in Robotics Engineering, and a B.Tech in Computer Science & Information Technology. With over 15 years of combined industry and academic experience, he brings strong expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Soft Computing to higher education.
Currently serving as Assistant Professor at UPES since August 2025, he is committed to advancing research-driven teaching and innovation in emerging technologies.
Work Experience
Mr. Shashwat Shukla previously held academic positions at Babu Banarasi Das University from 2021 to 2025 and Amity University from 2010 to 2017. He also served in a leadership role at Wiral Web Pvt. Ltd. from 2017 to 2021.
His experience spans teaching, institutional development, robotics lab establishment, accreditation support, and industry-linked technical leadership.

Recipient of GATE Scholarship from MHRD (2008–2010). Recipient of Ekikrit Scholarship from the Government of Uttar Pradesh (2000–2004). Contributed significantly to institutional growth through robotics lab establishment, NAAC and ABET accreditation coordination, and organization of national conferences.
Scholarly Activities
Mr. Shashwat Shukla has contributed to research in robotics, computer vision, and intelligent systems through publications in reputed journals and IEEE conferences. His notable work includes deep learning for breast cancer detection, biped locomotion using Rayleigh Oscillators, iris feature extraction, and human emotion recognition.
He is a member of Institution of Engineering and Technology and actively serves as a reviewer for international conferences. His scholarly engagement reflects strong leadership, collaboration, and innovation-oriented research in emerging technologies.
