Prof. Apoorav Kumar

Apoorav Kumar is a Creative Graphic Designer and Design Educator with a distinguished academic background, holding a Master's degree in Graphic Design and Visualisation from Loughborough University, England, and a Bachelor's degree in Design from Doon University, India. Currently serving as Assistant Professor at the School of Design, UPES, Dehradun, he brings a unique blend of industry expertise and academic rigor to design education.

With professional experience spanning international markets including India, the UAE, and specialized training in the UK, Apoorav has successfully delivered design projects across diverse sectors. His expertise includes branding, packaging design, and visual communication, contributing to enhanced customer engagement and brand recognition for multiple organizations.

He specializes in sustainable design practices, augmented reality integration, and brand identity development. His teaching methodology emphasizes creative problem-solving, industry relevance, and the practical application of design principles. His research interests lie at the intersection of sustainability, technology integration in design, and effective communication strategies that address real-world challenges through thoughtful, user-centered design solutions.

Apoorav Kumar currently serves as Assistant Professor at the School of Design, UPES, Dehradun, where he designs and delivers undergraduate and postgraduate courses while mentoring students in portfolio development.

Previously, he worked as a Graphic Designer at L'Opéra, French Bakery Private Limited, Noida, where he managed more than 45 projects and contributed significantly to customer engagement. He also served as Graphic Designer at The Digital Stop, Dubai, UAE, where his strategic design contributions led to a 30% increase in brand recognition.
