Sandeep Nandi

Sandeep Nandi is an accomplished Interaction and Visual Designer with extensive experience in UI/UX, brand strategy, and communication design. He has worked with leading organizations including InfoEdge, Meru Cabs, and Innovaccer, bringing strong industry expertise into academia.

He thrives in collaborative environments and is recognized for redefining design briefs, building high-performing design teams, and developing brand strategies aligned with consumer insights. With strong capabilities in illustration, interaction design, and user experience, Sandeep continuously evolves as both a designer and educator.

His academic and professional practice focuses on preparing students to solve real-world design challenges through innovation, strategy, and user-centered thinking.

Sandeep has held significant leadership roles in the design industry. As Design Manager at Innovaccer Analytics, he has led analytics BI and design team development. He previously served as Lead UI/UX Designer at InfoEdge India Ltd., where he contributed to revamping the Naukri.com website and mobile applications.

At Meru Cabs, he worked as Lead UI/UX Designer and Senior UI/UX Designer, leading brand repositioning, app design, and corporate web portal development. He has also worked as Assistant Manager in Graphics and CFM Lab roles.

As Visiting Faculty for B.Des. and M.Des. programs between 2012 and 2018, he has taught at premier institutions including NID Ahmedabad, DJ Academy of Design, UPES, Doon University, Sharda University, and Banasthali Vidyapith, covering courses in Design Thinking, Information Design, Interaction Design, Digital Illustration, UI/UX Design, and Product Graphics.

Sandeep has delivered impactful design projects and collaborations across diverse sectors. He has designed educational publications on pond ecology and the Sarus Crane, and has worked with organizations including DRDO (NPOL), CEE, GEER Foundation, and SIRD. He has contributed visual design solutions to numerous startups and emerging ventures including Bunk Stay, Doggie Oye, Studio 34, Artizons, and Design Sparrow.

Sandeep's scholarly and professional practice spans interaction design, brand strategy, and communication design, with collaborations across research organizations, NGOs, startups, and design institutions. His work with DRDO, CEE, and GEER Foundation reflects a commitment to applying design to socially meaningful challenges including environmental education and conservation communication.

He has collaborated with organizations including Nukkad, Playpower, ToCha, Focaloid, and TrueSkills, and continues to contribute to design education through visiting faculty roles, industry-linked projects, and mentoring students across B.Des. and M.Des. programs. His expertise in tools including Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, and MS Power BI ensures students are equipped with contemporary industry-relevant competencies.
