Dr. Rabab Fatima

Dr. Rabab Fatima is a dedicated researcher and academic with expertise at the intersection of toxicology, pharmaceutics, biotechnology, and chemistry. She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the School of Advanced Engineering, UPES Dehradun, a Master’s in Toxicology from Jamia Hamdard, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from AMU. Her work bridges deep scientific knowledge with practical research applications. Her experience encompasses advanced drug delivery systems, nanotoxicology, molecular biology, and biopolymer-based therapeutics.

She has established and led in vitro laboratories, contributed to translational medical research, and gained experience across academia and industry, including Ranbaxy Research Laboratories and multiple DBT- and UGC-funded projects. With 28 peer-reviewed publications and international book chapters to her credit, she continues to make impactful contributions to research and academics.

Her research interests include controlled drug delivery systems, polysaccharide-based therapeutics, nanotoxicology, inflammation and cancer chemoprevention, toxicity screening for herbal drugs and new chemical entities, and molecular mechanisms of diseases.

Dr. Fatima believes in nurturing analytical and application-oriented thinking in students by integrating hands-on laboratory methods with real-world biomedical challenges. Her teaching emphasizes a research-driven and inquiry-based learning environment. With a strong focus on molecular-level understanding and translational science, she aims to empower students to become curious, capable, and responsible contributors to health and pharmaceutical innovation.

She has also been an active member of student academic committees at UPES, Jamia Hamdard, and AMU. In addition, she regularly reviews scientific articles and engages in academic community outreach and collaborative research.
