He holds a Ph.D. in International Trade Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and an LL.M. in Business Laws from NLSIU, Bangalore. He has an extensive publication record, including book chapters and research articles in reputed national and international platforms. He has presented papers across global conferences, covering themes such as digital trade, forensic science, AI, cyber security, and new criminal laws. His experience includes serving as an editor for multiple legal journals and contributing as a judge and arbitrator in prominent moot court competitions.

He is the Founder-Coordinator of the Centre for Judicial Services and Competitive Examinations and has organized major international conferences, international summer schools, and academic collaborations with leading institutions in the UK and India. Dr. Kaushik combines strong academic credentials with practical insights from his litigation background, contributing to legal education, research, and institutional development.

Work Experience

Before joining UPES, Dr. Deepak has over 11 years of total experience including seven years of teaching experience and four years of litigation and industry exposure. He was an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Bennett University, where he also founded and coordinated the Centre for Judicial Services and Competitive Examinations. He previously served as Assistant Professor at Galgotias University and Visiting Faculty at Sir Padampat Singhania University.

Before joining academia, he practiced at the Delhi High Court and District Courts. His professional journey also includes research assistance under Prof. N. L. Mitra and internships with leading law firms, NGOs, and legal institutions.

Dr. Deepak Kaushik has an extensive academic portfolio encompassing research publications, conference presentations, editorial responsibilities, and academic event management. His research contributions span international trade law, cyber law, digital forensics, criminal law reforms, AI, and emerging technologies, with book chapters and articles published by Bloomsbury, Rawat Prakashan, Satyam Law International, and various indexed journals.

He has presented papers at numerous national and international conferences in collaboration with institutions across India, Europe, and Asia, including the WTO's Gender and Trade Office, Russian Academy of Sciences, NFSU, MNLU Nagpur, Tokyo Summit, and conferences in Ankara, New York, and Bangladesh. Dr. Kaushik serves as Editor for multiple legal journals, including Blind Fold Legal Journal and the International Journal of Research in Law and Legal Procedure.

He regularly evaluates academic work through roles as a judge and arbitrator in prestigious moot court competitions such as Philips Jessup, CCI-DNLU, SAARCLAW-JLU, and Vis Pre Moot.
