Profile Summary
Divyanshu Chaudhary is a Ph.D. Scholar at the Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar. His Ph.D. research pertains to the Hate Crimes against Religious Minorities in India. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the National Law University, Delhi, in 2019, with a specialisation in Constitutional Law, Human Rights, and Humanitarian Law and an undergraduate programme, B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) from the School of Law, Galgotias University, Greater Noida in 2018 with a specialisation in Constitutional Law.
Work Experience
Before joining UPES, Mr. Chaudhary worked as an Assistant Professor of Law at the Geeta Institute of Law (GIL), Panipat, which is affiliated with Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, for approximately five years. At GIL Panipat, Mr Chaudhary, along with teaching assignments, also conducted and supervised many events. He also served as the Centres’ Head and coordinated with various research centres and events at the GIL. He convened three International Seminars/Conferences in collaboration with the Maldives National University, Maldives, and the Kathmandu School of Law, Nepal. He was also the faculty coordinator of the Journal of Global Research and Analysis.
Research Interests
Mr. Chaudhary research interests lie in Constitutional Law and Theory, Human Rights, International Law, and Jurisprudence. Pursuant to his interest, he has written and presented more than fifteen research papers in various National/International Seminars/Conferences.
Teaching Philosophy
Mr. Chaudhary teaching approach is not exclusively confined to lecture-based discourse but involves mutual learning techniques with inquiry-based learning.
Courses Taught
Mr Chaudhary have taught Jurisprudence and Public International Law to 3-year LL.B. and 5-year B.A.LL.B./BB.A.LL.B. programmes. Also, I have taught Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, and Law relating to Local Self Government in India.
Awards and Grants
Mr. Chaudhary was awarded a Silver Medal for securing the second position in B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) in 2018 by the Galgotias University. He was awarded First rank and a cash prize in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial National Essay Competition organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, in 2021.
