Her academic credentials includes PhD in Law from YBN University, MBA in Marketing and Finance from O.P. Jindal Global University, LL.M. in Corporate & Commercial Law from National Law University Odisha, and a BBA LL.B. in Corporate Law from School of Law, KIIT University. Her professional journey includes key roles, including Head of Department at Modern Law College, Pune, and legal positions in reputed film production houses, law firm and Deputy Manager II at one of India’s largest private banks. She specializes in contract law, entertainment, and technology law, as well as her skills in legal research, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance.

Dr. Vaishali has presented papers on topics such as copyright infringement in social media and data protection principles. She actively participates in faculty development programs and seminars, including intellectual property rights, new criminal laws, and enhancing teaching skills. She has successfully published numerous articles and book chapters, contributing to the fields of data protection, cybercrime, and media law. 

Work Experience

With over seven years of experience in academia and the legal industry, Dr. Vaishali has held various roles. Currently, as an Assistant Professor of Law, she teaches a diverse range of courses to Law and MBA students and guides dissertation students. Previously, she served as the Head of Department and Dissertation Guide at Modern Law College, Pune, where she was also the Faculty In charge of the Modern Law Research Centre, Placement and Training Cell, and Moot Court, Oratory, and Debate Club. In the legal industry, she worked as a Senior Associate at a reputed law firm and at various film production houses, handling transactional work and Deputy Manager II at one of India’s largest private banks. 

Research Interests

Dr. Vaishali’s research interests focus on the intersection of law and technology, particularly Information Technology Law, Cyber Law, Contract Law and Data Protection. She explores the impact of digital transformation and emerging technologies on legal practices. Additionally, she studies Intellectual Property Law, media and entertainment regulations, and the implications of artificial intelligence on legal frameworks.  

Teaching Philosophy

Dr. Vaishali teaching philosophy centers on bridging the gap between legal theory and practice. She promotes a collaborative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation in discussions, debates, and critical thinking exercises. By integrating real-world legal challenges and case studies into her curriculum, she aims to enhance students' advocacy and research skills.

Dr. Vaishali has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engaging with students from the School of Law and MBA programs. She has covered a diverse range of subjects, including Information Technology Law, Business and Digital Laws, Professional Ethics, Law of Contract, Legal Research Methods, Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property Law, Cyber Law, Organizational Behaviour, E-commerce etc. 

Scholarly Activities

Dr. Vaishali has published 15 articles in UGC CARE listed journals, Pimpri Law Review Journal, Journal of the School of language, Literature and Culture Studies, legal blogs etc and book chapters with both international and national publishers. She has presented and published her research at 10 national and international conferences.
