Profile Summary
Dr. Navshesh Bikram Kshetri is an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, UPES, Dehradun. He holds a Ph.D. in Law from the National Law Institute University, Bhopal, where his doctoral research examined the Role of the National Green Tribunal in Delivering Environmental Justice: A Study with Special Reference to Central Zone Bench, Bhopal. He earned his LL.M. in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar, and his B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) with specialization in Corporate Law from Nirma University, Ahmedabad.
He has also qualified MP SET (2017), Gujarat SET (2018), CG SET (2018), and MH SET (2019).
Work Experience
Dr. Kshetri held the position of Assistant Professor of Law (Grade-II) at the School of Law, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal, for two years, where he led the Centre for Environmental Law and Climate Change and contributed to legal aid clinic and academic research initiatives. He has served as a Teaching-cum-Research Fellow under the CLAT Consortium Fellowship at the National Law Institute University, Bhopal.
He also worked as a Research Associate at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis, Bhopal, for the project Prajjwal Budni, where he contributed to policy research focused on the holistic development of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and Other Backward Classes in the Budni Constituency of Madhya Pradesh.

Teaching Philosophy
Dr. Kshetri's teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that legal education must inspire critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. He emphasises a learner-centred approach that encourages law students to question, analyse, and apply legal principles to real-world contexts.
He views the law classroom as a space for dialogue where constitutional values, environmental concerns, and human rights issues are explored through case laws and policy debates. He encourages research-based learning and mentors students in developing rigorous academic writing. His teaching philosophy reflects a commitment to nurturing responsible and empathetic legal professionals capable of contributing meaningfully to society and the evolving landscape of law.

He has also presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences organised by institutions such as Gujarat National Law University, Nirma University, IIULER Goa, and Christ University. His scholarly engagement reflects a strong commitment to contemporary legal issues, policy-oriented research, and academic excellence.
