Profile Summary
Saksham Misra is a legal academician with over three years of teaching and research experience. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law from Gujarat National Law University, focusing on developing a Human Rights Impact Assessment Framework for Renewable Energy Projects in India, with a case study of the Oran Forest. His academic interests span energy law, human rights, climate change law, and international investment law.
He has contributed significantly through publications in reputed journals, coordination of academic and outreach initiatives, and curriculum innovation. He remains deeply committed to inclusive and impactful legal education and research, with a focus on connecting legal scholarship to contemporary socio-economic and environmental challenges.
Work Experience
Saksham has served as an Assistant Professor with over three years of teaching and research experience. His responsibilities have included subject teaching, examination coordination, centre leadership in the area of Intellectual Property Rights, and field research activities. He has actively organized faculty development programmes, national conferences, and workshops.
Additionally, he has taught judiciary preparatory courses on platforms such as Into The Legal World.

Teaching Philosophy

His goal is to empower students to become ethically grounded legal professionals who are responsive to emerging socio-legal challenges.

He has presented papers at international and national conferences in Turkey, Central University of Kashmir, and Karnavati University on topics such as land conflicts in renewable energy, gender and climate change, and energy democracy. His scholarly work reflects a strong engagement with sustainability, rights-based governance, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
