Profile Summary

Vibhor Pratap Singh is a legal academic and researcher with multidisciplinary experience in higher education, academic administration, and non-profit leadership. He previously served as Assistant Professor at Amity University, Mumbai, before joining UPES, Dehradun. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law from Banaras Hindu University, focusing on the niche field of Health Law. 

He has actively participated in national and international academic platforms as a guest speaker and presenter, and currently serves as Associate Editor (Steering Council) of the Prayagraj Law Review. He is a recipient of the UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship (2022) and holds additional professional certifications in Medical Law, International Environmental Law, and Human Rights. 

Work Experience

He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at UPES, a position he has held since August 2025. Prior to this, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Amity University Mumbai, where he contributed to both academic and administrative responsibilities. 

Alongside his academic engagements, he is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of a non-profit organization committed to promoting legal education and expanding educational access and awareness within society.

Human Rights, Medical Law, Administrative Law, International Law, Constitutional Law, Gender Studies. 

Teaching Philosophy

His teaching approach integrates conceptual clarity with practical exposure, encouraging students to examine legal principles through contemporary policy concerns, judicial reasoning, and experiential learning. He emphasizes an interdisciplinary perspective, enabling learners to understand the interrelated nature of law with fields such as public policy, social sciences, economics, ethics, and technology. 

Through this approach, students develop a holistic comprehension of legal concepts within broader societal contexts. He aims to cultivate critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and research orientation through interactive discussions, case study analysis, comparative frameworks, and reflective academic assignments.

Awards and Grants

He qualified the UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship in 2022 and has successfully cleared the UGC-NET examination three times. He is a certified Transplant Coordinator by the MOHAN Foundation. He has also won various awards in debates and speeches during his student life. 

Scholarly Activities

He has presented research papers at multiple national and international academic platforms, including Banaras Hindu University (2024) and the University of Allahabad (2016 and 2025). His notable works include research on consent models under the Transplantation of Human Organ and Tissues Act, transplant tourism, and gendered policy concerns during COVID-19. 

He is an active member of the organizing committee for international seminars at BHU and contributes in an editorial capacity to the Prayagraj Law Review. His scholarship reflects a strong commitment to public health governance, rights-based legal frameworks, and interdisciplinary legal research.
