Aditi Sharma is an accomplished research scholar with over five years of experience in the field of psychology research, specializing in Positive Psychology and Social Psychology. Her academic interests are rooted in the study of well-being and life transitions, with a strong emphasis on applying positive psychological principles to support individuals navigating significant personal and professional changes. 

After completing her postgraduate studies in Psychology from the University of Lucknow, she joined the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati to pursue her doctoral research. Her Ph.D. focuses on the transitional experiences of military veterans moving from active service to civilian life, examining identity reconstruction, psychological adjustment, and well-being during this critical life phase. Using mixed-method approaches, her work contributes meaningful insights into resilience, growth, and successful reintegration.

Work Experience

Aditi Sharma has gained diverse teaching and research experience across respected academic institutions. She worked as a Junior Research Fellow on an ICMR-ICSSR sponsored project examining health awareness and promotion among women in Rajasthan, contributing to fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting. She also served as a Psychology teacher at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, teaching classes XI and XII. In addition, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow on a Seed Money Project in Leadership, where she supported literature review, data collection, and project coordination.

Teaching Philosophy

Aditi Sharma believes teaching should inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with real-world issues. Her goal is not only to share knowledge but to cultivate students’ ability to think independently, ask insightful questions, and apply learning with purpose. She promotes an innovative and inclusive classroom environment where technology supports collaboration, creativity, and deep learning. Through discussions, student-led presentations, and interactive pedagogies, she encourages active participation and intellectual growth.

Awards and Grants

Aditi Sharma has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, securing first rank in her Bachelor’s program and second rank in Psychology during her Master’s degree. She has completed three consecutive NPTEL certification courses, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning. She also received the Best Poster Award at a national conference in recognition of the quality and impact of her research presentation.  

Scholarly Activities

During her tenure as a research scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Aditi Sharma actively participated in faculty development programs focused on analytical methods and statistical tools such as SPSS and AMOS. She has published both qualitative and quantitative research in reputed journals, including the Journal of Community & Applied Social Psychology and the International Journal of Community Well-Being. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for several NPTEL courses offered by IIT Guwahati, contributing to academic delivery and learner support.
