Mr. Manish Madaan

Mr. Manish Madaan is an accomplished higher education administrator and institution builder with over 26 years of experience spanning student affairs, academic administration, corporate relations, career services, alumni engagement, and institutional operations. As Pro-Vice Chancellor – Operations and Growth Initiatives at UPES, he provides strategic leadership in strengthening administrative systems, enhancing operational excellence, and supporting the University's long-term growth and expansion agenda. 

He holds a Master's degree in Commerce from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, a Master's degree in Physical Education, and a leadership certification from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. A former national-level volleyball player, he has also contributed to sports development through leadership roles in state and national sporting federations. 

Having spent nearly two decades at UPES, Mr. Madaan has held several key leadership positions, including Registrar, Director – Career Services and Corporate Relations, and Head of Student Affairs. Throughout his tenure, he has successfully led initiatives across student welfare, placements, industry partnerships, alumni relations, campus engagement, and institutional administration, contributing significantly to the University's growth and transformation. 

In his current role, he oversees the functions of Registrar, Student Records, Administration, Govt Relations , CSR and Campus Growth Expansion. Widely respected for his collaborative leadership, stakeholder engagement, and execution excellence, Mr. Madaan continues to play a pivotal role in advancing operational effectiveness and supporting UPES's vision for sustainable institutional growth
