Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Sinha

Abhishek Sinha is the Pro Vice Chancellor (Student Success) at UPES, where he leads key institutional functions including Career Services, Alumni Relations, Student Experience & Engagement, International Relations & Global Affairs, and Strategic Alliances & Partnerships. His work focuses on building a future-ready student ecosystem that integrates academic excellence with global exposure, industry readiness, student wellbeing, leadership development, and innovation-driven learning.

Over the years, he has held several strategic leadership roles at UPES, including Dean & Professor at the School of Law, Head - International Affairs, and Head - Student Experience & Engagement. He has played a significant role in advancing international collaborations, interdisciplinary initiatives, industry partnerships, and student-centric institutional transformation.

Prior to academia, Abhishek was an Equity Partner at two of India’s leading law firms: Khaitan & Co and Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co; with expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, and Joint Ventures. A dual-qualified corporate lawyer in India and England & Wales, he also served as an International Visiting Attorney at Morrison & Foerster, Tokyo.

In 2019, he transitioned from corporate law to higher education with a mission to bridge academia and industry. He is the Founder of NotJustLex, a government-recognized legal ed-tech initiative focused on participatory and technology-enabled learning. He also conceptualized ABSIN, India’s first AI-based digital law professor, reflecting his commitment to the future of AI-integrated education.

A Harvard-certified higher education professional and two-time TEDx speaker, Abhishek has been recognized widely for leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in education. His work and insights have been featured by Forbes India, India Today, The Economic Times, BW Legal, LegalEra, and other leading platforms.
