M.Tech Thermal Engineering

The objective of this course is to facilitate the students to pursue their specialization in the area of Thermal engineering. This course curriculum enhances the student knowledge and their exposure in the area of thermal and fluid sciences. The content and syllabus of the course are shaped based on the need for industry and research. The course structure provides in-depth knowledge building in thermal and fluid sciences by keeping viscous flow, turbulence and advanced heat transfer. To develop the capability to analyze and design the thermo-fluidic systems, the courses: computational fluid dynamics, design of thermal equipments and mechanical measurement in thermo-fluidic systems also included in the curriculum. The program caters to its students with experienced academician, state-of-the-art laboratories and projects.

 
Duration 2 Years Eligibility
  • Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level(10th & 12th)
  • B.Tech / BE in Mechanical/ Automotive/ Automobile / Production/ Production & Industrial/ Aerospace Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Career Prospects

  • Opportunities are available in area of Design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of various thermo & fluidic systems. Wide opportunities in technical development and implementation of thermal and fluidic systems associated with industry and research projects.
  • The thermo-fluidic engineers got a border area of application almost all the sectors where the heat transfer and fluid flow is involved. It is very difficult to limit the scope as there are countless applications involving the heat and mass transfer in solids and fluids. However, few of them are: power plants, automobiles, aero-mechanical, food storage and processing, refrigeration, pipe line, transportations of fluids and space. stretched fiscope in all aspects of the mechanical systems where and aero-mechanical design and testing, of starter products used on a variety of diesel and gas turbine engines in the oil and gas, marine, power generation and aircraft industries.

    Experience :We are P.R. Roshan’s (M.Tech Chemical Engineering) parents and would like to take this opportunity to express our thoughts.
    As the session almost draws to a close we would like to thank the management, teachers, administrative staff and our special thanks to the cook for second trusted home.
    My son had a wonderful time and enjoyed the stay and experience at UPES. Short…..but definitely memorable and close to his heart. He has found some good friends. Needless to say he has grown in many ways and it will surely make a good foundation for his future.
