Industry Trends & Career Opportunities
Globalisation, deeper capital markets and cross-border transactions are increasing demand for professionals who understand FX, trade finance, international reporting and risk. As IFRS convergence expands, organisations value graduates who can interpret IFRS/Ind-AS comparatives for global stakeholders. At the same time, fintech, automation and data analytics are reshaping financial operations, while ESG and sustainable finance are becoming mainstream in investment and reporting. India’s scale in global shared services and finance operations also creates strong entry pathways that can progress into analytics, treasury and strategy roles.
Typical roles include Financial Analyst (corporate/equity/credit), Treasury/Forex Operations Analyst, Trade Finance Executive, Financial Reporting Executive (IFRS/Ind-AS), Audit & Assurance Associate, Risk/Compliance Associate, and finance roles in banks, NBFCs, fin techs and global shared service centres—with mid-career pathways into treasury, international taxation, corporate finance/M&A, ESG analysis, financial control, or professional qualifications (ACCA/CFA/CPA) and higher studies.
Placements
Placement opportunities typically span Big-4 and mid-tier firms, multinational banks, fin techs, asset managers, MNC finance teams and global shared service centres. Illustrative recruiter categories include firms such as EY, Deloitte, KPMG and PwC, banks such as Deutsche Bank and Wells Fargo, and roles across audit, reporting, operations, trade finance, risk and analytics—supported by internships, industry projects and career readiness initiatives.
