Rashika Gokula

Dr. Licia Proserpio is an interdisciplinary scholar with a robust bacRashika Gokula has over six years of experience in multiple fields of study. She has worked in the travel, education, ed-tech, IT, and aerospace industries. Her experiences with education and various educational spaces have allowed her to adopt multiple pedagogies to meet and exceed classroom expectations, and help her students reach their respective goals. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature with Communication Studies from Christ University, Bengaluru and is TEFL/TESOL certified from Asian College of Teachers recognized by TESOL Canada.

Before joining UPES, Rashika was at Alten India where she worked as a Senior Engineer. There, her primary client was Rolls-Royce Holdings for whom she reviewed over 900 technical documents pertaining to the health, maintenance, and repairs of airplane engines. She also worked with and trained over one hundred engineers to improve their written and spoken English.  

Prior to Alten India, she worked as an Operations Associate at Unacademy, a Teacher Trainer and English Teacher at Mastree by Unacademy. She has also interned as a Content Writer and has freelance experience in training students from various backgrounds aspiring to join the Indian Armed Forces.

Rashika’s teaching philosophy includes creating a holistic learning environment that is a balanced mix of fun and work. Her belief is that students should learn with sincerity but should never feel guilty for having fun while they do. She enjoys integrating various learning styles to ensure that students are getting a complete experience of the material they’re learning. She wants her students to remember their roots while they soar to their greatest heights.  

Rashika taught various courses on Public Speaking while working with Mastree by Unacademy to students between 5 years and 36 years of age. At Alten India, she trained fresher and seasoned engineers on various grammar topics to help improve their written and spoken English. Currently, she’s teaching the holistic and encompassing courses at School for Life. 

Rashika has been recognized for the work she’s done at Alten India. Rolls-Royce UK and Alten UK have commended her for efforts to review technical documents. The speed at which these documents are published went from 20% to 90% due to her contributions. For her work, she was awarded the Pinnacle Award. 

Rashika has presented multiple research papers in various universities during her postgraduation. She has also created a Reference Textbook titled “Lessons in Gender Sensitization” during a collaboration between Christ University, Bengaluru and Liverpool Hope University.
