UPES has partnered with Kyndryl to establish a pioneering Center of Excellence (CoE) focused on shaping next-generation design innovators through industry-led learning, experiential projects, and advanced design methodologies. This collaboration aligns with UPES’s commitment to integrating real-world design thinking, AI-driven creativity, and human-centered innovation into academic pathways.

Through this partnership, UPES and Kyndryl will:

• Develop specialized student cohorts in human-centered design, AI-driven innovation, sustainability, and industry-specific design methodologies.
• Deliver workshops, masterclasses, and recognition programs facilitated by Kyndryl Vital design experts.
• Enable students to engage in live industry projects, capstone initiatives, and applied research collaborations.
• Conduct faculty development programs to enhance industry alignment and strengthen contemporary design pedagogy.
• Establish a co-curated Design Resource Library, featuring learning materials mutually agreed upon by both institutions, ensuring continuous curriculum enrichment.

Kyndryl will further support UPES by providing expert mentorship, insights into global design practices, and internship and project opportunities for high-performing students. The collaboration ensures deep academic-industry integration, enabling learners to build portfolios that reflect real enterprise challenges and innovation outcomes.

This CoE positions UPES School of Design as a hub for cutting-edge design education, empowering students with the skills, exposure, and industry context required to thrive in the global design and digital transformation ecosystem.
