B.Tech. Civil Engineering (Transportation Infrastructure for Future Mobility)
Program details
The B.Tech. Civil Engineering (Transportation Infrastructure for Future Mobility) program at UPES School of Advanced Engineering combines civil engineering fundamentals with specialised learning in the planning, design, operation and management of transportation infrastructure. Students develop analytical and problem-solving skills to assess transport systems and explore approaches to improving mobility, efficiency and sustainable infrastructure development.
The curriculum takes a multidisciplinary approach, connecting transportation engineering with perspectives from economics, psychology, ecology, sociology and management. Mathematical and computational learning includes optimisation, graph theory, probability, statistics and computer simulation, helping students understand travel patterns, evaluate transport networks and make informed infrastructure decisions.
Core study in structural, geotechnical and other civil engineering disciplines provides a foundation for understanding how transportation infrastructure is designed and developed. Theoretical learning and practical applications help students explore engineering solutions that respond to evolving mobility needs while considering safety, accessibility and environmental performance.
