Labour Law

BBA + LL.B with specialisation in Labour Law specialisation educates students in regulating and resolving disputes relating to both individual labour laws i.e. the employees’ rights at work and the employment standards as well as the tripartite labour laws i.e. the relationship between the employer, employee, and the union. UPES provides students with an opportunity to complete two seminar papers and a dissertation exclusively in labour laws under the mentorship of the faculty and an industry-based professional.

Energy Law

BBA + LL.B with specialisation in Energy Law specialised undergraduate program deals with the business, policy governance, regulatory, and legal aspects of various non-renewable/fossil fuels and renewable energy sources. Energy Law course covers the business cycle operations, regulatory policies, governance mechanism and all-round legal perspectives in the entire energy basket market including commercial, taxation, and environmental governance aspects.

Criminal Law

BBA + LL.B with specialisation in Criminal Law is a 5-year integrated law degree program – the first two years of the program focus primarily on arts and the last three on law subjects. Criminal Law program prepares students for both national as well as international criminal justice systems. It has both classroom teaching as well as practical components like moot courts, law internships, workshops, guest lectures, national and international academic events, legal debates, and interaction with legal luminaries.

Constitution Law

BBA + LL.B with specialisation in Constitution Law is a five-year program that offers domain-specific subjects ranging from Making of the Indian Constitution, Jurisprudential Approach to Constitution to Comparative Federalism, and Legislative Relations. Drawing heavily from the rulings made in the Supreme Court, it is designed to preserve the relationships between state and federal governments and protect the rights of the individual. Through BBA + LL.B with specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) course, students will be able to demonstrate conceptual knowledge in core areas of computer science, integrated knowledge of legal principles and computer science, and exhibit skills in practices and procedures of Intellectual Property Law. In Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) program, students will take several non-law papers, core law subjects as well as honours paper.
