To secure the admission in B.Des. program, candidates must secure the required marks in UPES's School of Design entrance exam, UPESDAT.
lternatively, candidates may be considered based on scores from national-level exams such as Board Merit, NID, NIFT, UCEED, JEE, or CUET. Candidates can also opt for a non-exam pathway based on their board merit. The admission process further includes a portfolio presentation and a final interview.

For the B.Des. admission process, candidates are required to submit their Aadhaar card number and PAN card number (including the PAN card number of their parents), along with their original academic records.
